FS Poster alternatives for Facebook groups

FS Poster is a well-reviewed WordPress plugin that shares your site to 26 networks. Facebook groups are its weak spot, and its own documentation says so. Here is what it does, what it costs and what to use for groups, checked on 18 October 2026.

FS Poster documentation, app methods vs cookie method: groups only through the cookie method, which works 70% of the time and may get you blocked if you spam

What FS Poster is

FS Poster is a premium WordPress plugin, sold on its own site and on CodeCanyon, that publishes your WordPress content to social networks automatically. When you publish a post or a WooCommerce product, it shares it to the channels you picked, on a schedule you set, with templates, watermarks, URL shorteners and an AI assistant on the higher plans.

It lists 26 networks, from Facebook, Instagram, Threads and LinkedIn to Telegram, Discord, Reddit, Pinterest, Google Business Profile and YouTube Community. Because it lives inside WordPress, it needs a working cron job on your server and a WordPress site to run on.

Can FS Poster post to Facebook groups?

Yes, but only one way. FS Poster offers two methods for Facebook. The app method uses Meta’s official API, and its documentation says that is the safer one, with “no chance of being blocked”. It reaches Pages only, because Meta removed the API permission for posting to groups in April 2024 (see what the Groups API removal changed).

For groups, accounts and stories it offers the cookie method: you copy your Facebook session cookies into the plugin, and your server posts with them. FS Poster’s own documentation describes it as working “70% of the time” and warns that Facebook might block you if you spam.

The change is visible in public. In February 2024 a paying user wrote on the WordPress.org forum that, after an update, groups could no longer be added, only Pages. FS Poster replied that group posting through the Facebook API was deprecated and pointed to the cookie method. The same user reported a Facebook warning after about 10 posts sent that way.

What FS Poster costs

On fs-poster.com, checked on 18 October 2026: Single is $58 for the first year for 1 website, Plus $109 a year for 3 websites, Developer $229 a year for 15 websites, and Lifetime $490 once for 30 websites. The page marks these as introductory prices and says renewals are at full price, which it lists as $65, $195 and $449 a year and $890 for Lifetime. VAT is not included.

Every plan carries a 14-day money-back guarantee. On CodeCanyon the regular licence was listed at $229, with 16,956 sales and a 4.91-star average.

When an FS Poster alternative makes sense

If you run a WordPress site and want each new article shared to Pages, LinkedIn, X and Telegram without lifting a finger, FS Poster does that well and there is little reason to leave.

The case for something else is narrower: your audience is in Facebook groups you joined, and the cookie method is the part that keeps failing. Posting from your own browser instead of a server removes the pasted cookies and the server in the middle. MultiGroupPoster does that: one post to a saved list of groups, different wording per group with Spintax, pauses between posts and a result for every group. If posts stop going out with any tool, the causes and fixes are in why a Facebook group poster stops working.

FS Poster alternatives compared

Which tool replaces FS Poster depends on what you used it for. For WordPress-to-Page sharing, a cloud scheduler does the job; for groups you joined, only the browser extensions in this table post there.

Frequently asked questions

Can FS Poster post to Facebook groups I joined?

Only partly. FS Poster runs on your own web server. Its official app method reaches Pages only, because Meta removed group publishing for third-party apps in April 2024; for groups it asks you to copy your Facebook session cookies into it, and your server then posts with them. A browser extension reaches groups you joined from your own logged-in session, with no cookies handed to a server.

Can FS Poster post to Facebook groups?

Only through its cookie method, where you copy your Facebook session cookies into the plugin and your server posts with them. Its official app method reaches Pages only. FS Poster’s own documentation says the cookie method works 70% of the time and that Facebook might block you if you spam.

Why did FS Poster stop posting to my Facebook groups?

Most often because the account was added with the app method, which lost group posting when Meta removed the Groups API in April 2024. FS Poster told a user on WordPress.org in February 2024 to switch to the cookie method. If the cookie method stops too, the session it copied may have expired or been checked by Facebook.

How much does FS Poster cost?

As of 18 October 2026 on fs-poster.com: Single $58 for the first year ($65 at renewal), Plus $109 a year, Developer $229 a year and Lifetime $490 once, VAT not included, with money back within 14 days. On CodeCanyon the regular licence was $229.

What is the best FS Poster alternative for Facebook groups?

A browser extension that posts from your own session, because no cloud tool or official API can reach groups since April 2024. MultiGroupPoster posts one message to the groups you joined from your own Chrome, with Spintax, pauses and a result per group, for $9.99 a month after 6 free posts.

How hard is it to switch from FS Poster?

Keep FS Poster for your Pages and other networks; nothing needs to move. If you added Facebook to FS Poster with the cookie method, remove that account in the plugin and end the session under “Where you’re logged in” in Meta’s Accounts Center. Install MultiGroupPoster and sign in with Google; no Facebook password or cookie is involved. Let it scan the groups you belong to, and run a small campaign to a few groups before your full list.

Will either tool get my Facebook account restricted?

Neither tool changes what Facebook flags — pacing and content variation do. Randomized pauses of a few minutes after every few posts, 50–100 posts a day on an account older than twelve months, varied text per group and media attached is the safe range with any tool. Aggressive settings will flag an account regardless of which tool produced them.

The actual tool

Everything you need to post to Facebook groups, in one place.

Real screens from the extension. No mockups, no stock photos — this is exactly what you'll use.

One-click bulk posting

Write it once. Post to all your groups.

Stop copy-pasting the same post into one group after another. Write it once, pick a saved group list, and MultiGroupPoster posts it to every Facebook group on that list, one group at a time.

  • Reusable group bundles you set up once
  • Text, photos, video, emoji, link previews & color posts
  • Watch every group go out, live, with per-group results
MultiGroupPoster main screen (real extension popup) — composing a Facebook post with the Spintax, first-comment, color, and Protection controls, ready to publish to every group
Unique every time · Spintax

Every group sees a different version.

Pasting the exact same text into many groups is a common reason posts get reported as spam. Spintax rewrites your wording for each group, so {Hi|Hey|Hello} turns into a different version every time and no two groups get an identical copy.

  • No two groups get the same post — automatically
  • Different wording in every group, not one copy pasted everywhere
  • Paste ChatGPT or Claude variations straight in

Posting at a pace you set

Spread out over time, not fired off at once.

Firing 50 posts in 50 seconds is how accounts get restricted. Time Spacing sends your posts out in rounds with pauses in between, and Natural Presence adds a wait between posts. One group at a time, at the pace you choose. No tool can promise Facebook won't limit an account, but a steady pace is the sensible way to post.

  • Time Spacing: rounds with randomized pauses
  • Natural Presence: four levels of wait between posts
  • A 200-posts-a-day limit that asks you before going past it
MultiGroupPoster Protection settings: Time Spacing between posting rounds and a four-level Natural Presence slider that sets the pause between posts
Set it and forget it

Schedule once. It runs on autopilot.

Queue your posts for the perfect moment — once, daily, weekly, or monthly. MultiGroupPoster fires them on schedule and shows you exactly what landed in every group.

  • Once / Daily / Weekly / Monthly frequencies
  • Per-group results you can open on Facebook
  • Pause, edit, or reorder the whole queue anytime
