What SimplePoster is
SimplePoster is a Chrome extension for posting one message to many Facebook groups. Its site says it “types and clicks in your own browser exactly the way you would”, through the normal group composer, in each group you give it: the groups open in your Chrome tabs, or the group links saved in a bookmarks folder.
It costs $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year. Both plans start with a 7-day trial; the card is taken at checkout and the subscription continues unless you cancel before day 7. One licence covers one device at a time, and its FAQ says it supports Chrome on Windows 10 and 11 only, not macOS, Linux, ChromeOS or phones.
The feature list is long for the price: AI rewrites and translations through your own OpenAI key, manual variation sets and spin syntax, saved templates, one-time and weekly schedules (monthly ones arrived in version 1.1.492), a searchable history with CSV export, and pacing controls that include a daily cap, automatic breaks, presets with a risk meter and a stop when Facebook shows a rate-limit warning.
Tabs and bookmarks, or saved group lists
The practical difference is where the list of groups comes from. SimplePoster works through the groups you open in tabs or keep in a bookmarks folder, and can resume a bookmarks run from the last group it reached. MultiGroupPoster builds lists from the groups you belong to, a CSV or Excel file or pasted links, and you pick lists or single groups in its own popup, as in the screenshot above.
If price is what draws you to SimplePoster, the other low-cost option is GoizanTools’ Groups Auto Poster, with a free plan and a $2.99 Pro plan.

Frequently asked questions
Can SimplePoster post to Facebook groups I joined?
Yes. SimplePoster is a browser extension that posts from your own logged-in Facebook session, which is what reaches groups you joined. Cloud schedulers such as Buffer and Hootsuite cannot, because Meta removed the publish_to_groups permission in April 2024 — and it never covered groups you merely joined.
How much does SimplePoster cost?
$4.99 a month or $49.99 a year, according to simpleposter.app on 2 October 2026. Both plans start with a 7-day trial; the card is taken at checkout, and cancelling before day 7 costs nothing. MultiGroupPoster is $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year, after 6 free posts with no card.
Does SimplePoster work on a Mac?
Not according to its own FAQ, which says it supports Google Chrome on Windows 10 and 11 only and that macOS, Linux, ChromeOS and mobile are not supported. MultiGroupPoster runs anywhere Chrome runs: Mac, Windows, Linux and Chromebook.
Do I need an OpenAI key for SimplePoster?
Only for its AI rewrites, which run on your own OpenAI key stored on your device, so you pay OpenAI for what you use. Spin syntax and manual variations need no key. MultiGroupPoster has no AI writer; you can paste text from any AI tool into its editor.
How hard is it to switch from SimplePoster?
Install MultiGroupPoster and sign in with Google; SimplePoster can stay installed while you compare. Let MultiGroupPoster scan the groups you belong to, or paste the group links from your SimplePoster bookmarks folder into a list. Paste your templates in; {a|b} spin syntax works the same way in both. Run a small campaign on a few groups first, and never run both tools on the same groups at once.
Will either tool get my Facebook account restricted?
Neither tool changes what Facebook flags — pacing and content variation do. Randomized pauses of a few minutes after every few posts, 50–100 posts a day on an account older than twelve months, varied text per group and media attached is the safe range with any tool. Aggressive settings will flag an account regardless of which tool produced them.
