Browser and computer
- Google Chrome on Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS. Microsoft Edge and Brave install Chrome Web Store extensions too.
- Not supported: phones and tablets (Chrome on Android and iPhone cannot install extensions), Firefox and Safari.
- On a phone, the site can email you the install link so you can open it on your computer.
Accounts
- A MultiGroupPoster account: sign in with Google or with email and password. Your Facebook password is never asked for.
- Facebook open and signed in, in the same Chrome profile. MultiGroupPoster posts from that session.
- You must already be a member of each group. MultiGroupPoster does not join groups. If a group shows a "Join group" button, nothing is posted there.
What must stay open
- For a run in progress and for scheduled posts, the computer must be on and Chrome open. Facebook does not need to be the active tab.
- A scheduled post that is up to 2 hours late (for example after the computer woke up) still goes out. Later than that, it is marked Missed and stays in the Queue for 30 days with Post now, New time and Delete.
- Posts sent from an AI assistant also run in your Chrome. If Chrome is closed, they wait until it opens.
For AI agents: every docs page has a Markdown copy (add .md to the path), the whole section is indexed in /docs/llms.txt and /docs.json, and the MCP server is described on /docs/mcp/.
